educational system in pakistan

In Pakistan the education system is not effective as compare to other countries. Just due to following reasons

· Syllabuses are not designed according to the examination pattern of every level starting from class one to onwards

· Old courses are being taught which are not according to the needs of 21st century.

· Most teachers are not fulfilling their duties as they should teach students effectively

· Teachers are not trained well to teach students in an effective manner and understanding the problems of students faced in the way of getting things clear

· No government schools are available in rural areas and if they are then not functioning due to feudalism

· Feudalism is not letting girls or boys to gain education from such schools teachers are also being threatened by dominant families of a village or town

· Teachers want shortcut for making money so they compel student to take tuitions from them or their relatives at high costs and if they don’t do so they won’t be able to promote.

· Checking system of papers is also really very dreadful even at university level in government schools students are being badly exploited by the examiners which leads students to commit suicide or leave schools, colleges and universities.

· Students are not trained to answer the question which are related to their course but not from the book

· Logics are not so cleared to students to give answer even of those questions which are from book but have changed text

· Funds sanctioned by government for improvement of educational system are not used properly and are taken by high officials of ministry.

· Equipments used by teachers and students are almost outdated. Most of the times the practical work is also being taught as theoretical subject

· Books are having so much unnecessary data which has become obsolete now

And a lot of other reasons which are hidden yet but somehow exist these reason should be eliminated as soon as possible otherwise we will lose our talented generation no doubt Pakistani youngsters are more intelligent and hardworking as compare to others but due to these problem they remained unused, wasted or go to other places for earning money.

Government should pay attention to this sector as it makes roots of any nation stronger. New technology should be taught to students, teacher should be trained, practical equipment should also be replaced by new ones, courses should be designed according to the challenges of 21st century world and also funds should be spent in a useful way so that we can save our generation.

The last government has envisioned with a clear commitment to reform a number of aspects of education system framed within the 1998-2010 National Education Policy and ten year perspective development plan 2001-2011 to increase educational opportunities for all children, to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of delivery service at grass root level. ESR is an Action Plan for 2001-2005, has been fully integrated into the Interim Poverty Reduction Strategy Paper and about 80% of the ESR packages covers adult literacy, Education for All and technical education. Devolution plan is the mainframe for implementation of ESR. The education sector reforms (ESRs) have been design to address the following areas of education system:

1. Comprehensive literacy and poverty reduction program.
2. Expansion of primary elementary education.
3. Introduction of technical stream at the secondary level.
4. Improving the quality of education through teacher training.
5. Higher education sector reforms.
6. Public-private partnership.
7. Innovative programs.
